The Setup:
The Protagonist, obsessed with communicating with his deceased wife, reads though the books in his occult-bookshop looking for anything that might help him.

Inciting Incident:
Shadowy “creatures” start appearing around the protagonist out of the corner of his eye, first only in his bookshop, then seemingly everywhere he goes. The Protagonist begins to turn his attention to researching what these shadowy forms are, he is sure he has seen something in one of his books.

Act 1 Turning point:
The more the Protagonist focuses his research on the forms, the clearer they become and the more frequently they appear. His research begins to consume his whole life as he becomes completely obsessed with what the forms are and what they want.

Mid Point:
By trying to explain himself to his family, the Protagonist comes accross as crazy and begins to doubt himself. His son and daughter, trying to help, tell him it is all in his head and that he should get some help.

Act 2 Turning Point:
In an attempt to prove these things are real, not only in his head, by locking himself away in his bookshop where he can research without his family bringing more self doubt to him. The shadows watch him from the corners of the shop.

Act 3 Turning Point:
The Protagonist’s family call in a doctor to help him but find he has completely barricaded himself in his shop. He is sure he has found the book he was looking for at this point, but is distracted by the banging at the door.

Resolution:
The Protagonist finds the page he was looking for and speaking the page aloud, realises that the shadows are actually fragments of his wife . His family breaks in the door just as he does this and enter just in time to see all of the shadows watching them. The shadows are slowly pulled together into the form of the Protagonist’s wife. The Protagonist and his wife move towards each other, but his wife disappears as he touches her. The doctor leaves and his two childeren move to comfort him over the second loss of his wife.
